Job Summary Provides direct behavioral health patient care by performing a variety of activities for patients. Primary Responsibilities Assists patients with activities of daily living. Provides or assists with direct patient care and therapeutic interventions based on RN assignments. Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. Establishes therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Applies knowledge of group dynamics while participating in therapeutic groups and maintaining the milieu. Monitors patients for safety, including rounding and environmental checks. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Associate's degree in behavioral health or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience No experience required. Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking. Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication. Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and alarms. Frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent reaching, gripping, keyboard use, data entry. Frequent use of vision for near and far distances and color identification. Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, repetitive movements. Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships. Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional lifting/moving patients. Occasional use of smell to detect odors. Occasional driving. Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA). Must hold required professional license and/or certifications. Work location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin. Work Hours and Shift Night shift (7 pm – 7 am), full time, 36 hours per week.
