Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer with a strong emphasis on UX Design to join our dynamic team at Cisco in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have 7 10 years of experience in the field, demonstrating a deep understanding of user centered design principles and methodologies. You will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences across our digital platforms, ensuring that our products not only meet user needs but also exceed their expectations.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to create cohesive and user friendly interfaces.
• Define and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across all products.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design to continuously improve our design processes.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into the design process.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall growth of the design team.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in UX Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user centered design solutions.
• Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing techniques.
• Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate design ideas.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with front end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 7 10 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong focus on UX.
• A portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects and a user centered approach.
